Considered the “Oscar” of the real estate industry, the Prix d’Excellence is a prestigious honour that recognises projects that best embody excellence in all real estate disciplines. It illustrates the Fiabci ideal of “providing society with the optimal solution to its property needs”.

Winners were selected by an international panel of real estate experts and were evaluated on concept, architecture, engineering, profitability, marketing results, environmental impact and benefit to society.

“This year’s competition was tough, with contenders for the award representing prominent projects from all over the world. The winning projects in the competition clearly exhibit special qualities of excellence from across the property industry worldwide,” said Fiabci world president Judy Shenefield.

“The Prix d’Excellence is one of the most prestigious honours a real estate development can receive. This year’s winners highlight innovation at its very best, demonstrating a premier level of achievement in all aspects of real estate development,” said Fiabci Asia Pacific executive director Dr Yu Kee Su.

Besides that, Bukit Kiara Properties (BKP) Group chairman Datuk Alan Tong received a Medal of Appreciation from Shenefield in recognition of his contributions towards the awards.

“The awards play an important role in alleviating the standard of property industry worldwide. Since the winners represent the best of the best projects, it brings significant impact and awareness to the winners as well as their countries’ development,” Tong said.

He also announced Fiabci past world president Alexander Romanenko signing a 10-year contract with Fiabci Asia Pacific Regional Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur, to continue to manage and organise the award.

“The recipient of this distinguished appreciation deserved to be recognised worldwide and it was a decision by a committee of 10 people from different countries, including Shenefield and Fiabci world president-elect Flávio Gonzaga,” said Prix d’Excellence Awards Committee president and Fiabci Malaysian Chapter president Yeow Thit Sang.

“If not for Tong’s effort, encouragement and financial undertakings, this award programme would have been terminated,” Yeow added.
