Central is located on a 1.3 hectares landmark site by the Singapore River within the historical civic district of the city. Reliving the memory that our forefathers once lived, worked and played by the River, the developer modernised the “Live, Work, Play” concept in Central. This mixed-use development atop the Clarke Quay Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station is the first in Singapore to integrate the diverse functions of real estate - habitation, lifestyle, business, community and transportation connectivity – within one complex.

Central comprises two SOHO (Small Office Home Office) towers, a 25 storeys office tower, a sky garden, recreational facilities, and a retail podium. Central pioneered the first-of-its-kind, purpose-built SOHO concept in Singapore, offering innovative, functional spaces with full flexibility in commercial and residential usage.

A 13,940 square meters civic space was purpose built and donated to the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, creating real estate value and serving as a vibrant hub for the volunteerism and philanthropy community.

Central gives a new meaning to the concept of riverside shopping and riverfront dining. Designed to showcase its unique location along the Singapore River, the development features specialty Japanese restaurants with inviting water views. Central’s retail niche marries urban chic with trendy, independent fashion boutiques.

Central has opened a new gateway to the Singapore River for both the local community and foreign visitors, breathing new life and enlivening the waterfront River Promenade. Central has also set new benchmarks and added variety to the Singapore real estate industry. With the introduction of the SOHO concept, the development has redefined and enhanced the work-live concept and environment in Singapore. As a new real estate product, it also presented owner occupiers and investors with an alternative choice of accommodation solution. On a larger scale, it contributed to the Singapore Government’s efforts to make Singapore a world-class city.
