“The awards play an important role in alleviating the standard of property industry worldwide. Since the winners represent the best of the best projects, it brings significant impact and awareness to the winners as well as their countries’ development,” Tong said.

He also announced Fiabci past world president Alexander Romanenko signing a 10-year contract with Fiabci Asia Pacific Regional Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur, to continue to manage and organise the award.

“The recipient of this distinguished appreciation deserved to be recognised worldwide and it was a decision by a committee of 10 people from different countries, including Shenefield and Fiabci world president-elect Flávio Gonzaga,” said Prix d’Excellence Awards Committee president and Fiabci Malaysian Chapter president Yeow Thit Sang.

“If not for Tong’s effort, encouragement and financial undertakings, this award programme would have been terminated,” Yeow added.
