The vision of the campus development for National Taipei University of Technology is based on “Human, Ecology, and Technology”. After years of diligence, the concept of Humanistic Eco-campus of Taipei Tech is gradually earning recognition. Taipei Tech is currently a sustainable university within a bustling city. The University will continue to upkeep this principle of sustainable humanistic ecological landscape and extends it to the urban space, and contributes to the vision of an ecologically friendly city.
In recent years, Taiwan is incessantly concerned about urban eco-environment. In the process of urban development, National Taipei University of Technology gradually transitioned into an open, multiple, and international university. The Eco-campus scheme of National Taipei University of Technology spawned out of the integration of technology, humanity and ecology, which is the central motif of campus development. The scheme combines districts, islands and vertical green wall, and by utilizing specific characteristics throughout the campus, it creates ideal natural environment both for human beings and aboriginal organisms to fit in. The whole campus has efficiently reduced the urban heat island phenomenon, and consequently became the cold island among Taipei City.
