SugarCilty Silos is a project which transforms a former sugar manufacturing plant to a mixed-use area including offices, leisure, cinema, shopping, restaurants and bars. The two former sugar silos are converted into offices. The development is about 15,000 sq m. The concrete structure of the existing building is re-used. By introducing a new nucleus in the building (staircases, toilets, elevators and technique) and new floors the transformation into an office building became possible. The new aluminum façade with diamond-shaped windows has made the building an icon. Both buildings are located in the water and both entrances are connected to the main land by a bridge.
